Super 8 star Joel Courtney joins Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn

*Joel Courtney, the 15-year-old star of JJ Abrams' _Super 8_, has
‘entered negotiations’ to join the film _Tom Sawyer 
Huckleberry Finn_.*

Jo Kastner will write and direct _T__om Sawyer  Huckleberry Finn,_
with Courtney starring as Tom Sawyer.

The young actor is also in talks to join the cast of _The Healer_, a
supernatural thriller from Georgio Serafini.

_Tom Sawyer  Huckleberry Finn_, which is based on Mark Twain’s
novels, is set in the Mississippi river, and will begin shooting later
this year in Bulgaria…naturally.
